- FFMPEG
FFMPEG is a required software for proper functioning of Cutter Joiner. So make sure you install FFMPEG using below listed steps.
STEP 1 - Download FFMPEG

Three recording modes are provided by HiFi Recorder application and they are as follows:
Record Both – Camera & Screen together
Record Camera
Record Screen
Enables user to record both camera and screen together.
Usage
Select Record Both mode for recording the screen as well as camera.
After selecting the Record Both mode, you can see the preview of camera in recorder.
Timer is set to 0:0:0 initially. After the recording is started the timer starts.
Once recording is started recorder will record screen and camera simultaneously
NOTE: The background of user in camera window should be uniform to remove background colour using transparency mode later.
Enables user to hide or show the camera preview
Usage
You need to Press Ctrl + 2 on your keyboard.

Enable user to start recording.
Usage
You can either click on Play recording button.
OR
Press Ctrl + 1
User can see a moving green light over the HiFi Recorder application logo in the taskbar. The green light indicates that the application is recording.
A 3 seconds timer is provided before actual recording starts. This is provided to all three modes viz. Camera, Screen & Both modes.
Enables user to pause the recording.
Usage
You can either open the HiFi Recorder application from task bar.
OR
You need to Press Ctrl + 1 on your keyboard to pause.
User can see a yellow light over the HiFi Recorder application logo in the taskbar. The yellow light indicates that the application has paused recording.
Once you have paused the recording you can see the duration for which you have recorded the lecture till that moment.
Enables user to stop the recording.
Usage
You need to Press Ctrl + 3 on your keyboard.
OR
Click on Stop button.
Enables you to record only using camera.
Usage
In Record Camera only the recording is done with the help of Camera.
Repeat the Play/Pause, Show/Hide, Stop Recording functions as mentioned in Record Both mode.
Enables you to record only the screen.
Usage
In Record Screen only the screen is recorded.
Repeat the Play/Pause, Show/Hide, Stop Recording functions as mentioned in Record Both mode.
Enables user to choose from following two processing modes, after the recording is stopped:
Process Now - Recording is done and now proceed to edit the video.
Process Later - Recording is done and edit the video afterwards.
Digital white board acts like your notebook on which you can write, draw using pencil, draw shapes as well as load pdf or power point presentation for your audience to see
Usage
Toggle the notebook button to open the Digital WhiteBoard as shown below
A WhiteBoard will appear on your screen on which you can write, draw shapes as well as load pdf or power point presentation for your audience as well record simultaneously
You can enter the mini editor through either choosing Process Now option or can enter it using settings.config file if you choose the Process Later option. Mini Editor helps you to edit your video.
Usage
In this mode, in the editing options panel you can see all editing options. In recordings panel you can see all the recording modes you used to record. Beside it you can view the canvas which show you the preview of the output.
The screen will appear as follows:
You can resize & place the screen and camera window as required by dragging it on the canvas
Provides two modes to modify the background of the screen, namely Change Background and Remove Background.
Change Background
Click on Add background button.
Select the image you wish to have as your background.
Following is the image after applying the background:
Remove Background
The applied background is removed.
In editing options panel, we have given you the option of cropping screen and camera.
Usage
With the help of crop option, User can remove unwanted outer areas from the screen or camera.
This method is provided to both crop screen as well as camera
Follow the same steps for both Crop Screen and Crop Camera. To crop click on crop button
After clicking on crop button the following window appears. Everything is disabled except for cancel button. One can go back without cropping the screen
Drag the pointer over the screen and crop the screen
Click on Crop Selection button to crop the screen
The following window appears after cropping
Follow the same steps to crop the camera.
Enables user to place company's logo in the recorded video.
Add Logo
To apply logo, click on Add Logo and select logo image
The following window will appear after applying logo. User can place it anywhere. The user can also resize it or change its location.
Remove Logo
User can remove the logo as per requirement. To remove the logo , click on Remove logo button
The following window will appear after removing the logo
Enables user to make his/her background transparent.
Usage
In Record both or only camera mode user can make his/her background transparent
Click remove background color
To make it transparent click on transparency toggle button
After that, follow these steps:
Click on Suggest Color
After clicking you would get choose color button click on choose color and select the suggested color
Select percentage of similarity and Opacity
Opacity is how much opaque you want your camera window to be.
Similarity is the range of how many shades of that color it will remove to make the background transparent.
Similarity and opacity generally differs from place to place based on your lighting conditions in the room
To see the Preview, click on Show preview. Check the preview of your video to see the similarity, opacity background settings before processing your video
A pop up window will occur which shows the video including the transparency. You can change the Similarity and Opacity if required and check for the Preview again
Once the preview is ok you can save the background, similarity percentage, opacity percentage by clicking on save as default
You can load the previous saved settings by clicking on Load default
Click on Process now for final processing of video
After clicking on Process Now following window will appear and the video will start processing.
Write the name of the output file and click on OK
Video is generated Successfully. You can click on Show Files to see your generated video. You can see the video in the new window
Click on Go home button to navigate to Home page of HiFi Recorder Application
Enables user to add scrolling text in the video at specific durations
Usage
In all modes user can make text scrollable
To scroll text, on the left side you will see option Scrolling Text click on that on the right side of the page it will open the properties of scrolling text
To scroll text, in the editing options panel you will see option Scrolling Text click on it.
On the right side of the page it will open the properties of scrolling text
You can change the font size, colour and position of scrolling text
You can change the position by simply dragging the scrolling text in the canvas
There are two types of text Fixed text and Scrolling text
In Fixed text, write text which you want to be fixed
In Scrolling text, write text which you want to be scrolling
You can give scrolling start time when you want the text to start scrolling in your video
You can also set text scrolling duration which ensures that the scroll will appear for that duration
Enables user to adjust the brightness
Usage
In all modes user can adjust the brightness
To adjust brightness, on the left side you will see option Adjust Brightness. Click on it.
On the right side of the page it will open the properties of adjust brightness
In gamma, to increase brightness then you should increase the value from 1 to 10 if you want to reduce the light you should decrease the value from 1 to 0.1. The default value is "1"
In saturation, to increase brightness then you should increase the value from 1 to 3 if you want to reduce the light you should decrease the value from 1 to 0. The default value is "1"
In brightness, to increase brightness then you should increase the value from 0 to 1 if you want to reduce the light you should decrease the value from 0 to -1. The default value is "0"
In contrast, to increase brightness then you should increase the value from 0 to 1000 if you want to reduce the light you should decrease the value from 0 to -1000. The default value is "1"
When you click on reset button gamma, saturation, brightness, contrast values set to their default values
The brightness only applies to camera in both mode
Enables user to process video later.
Usage
In Process later mode we will process the video later.
If you want to process a previously recorded video go to settings option and select the setting.config file. File is located atDocuments\Hifi_Recorder Files\Select appropriate recording file\select settings.config file\Select File
You can process further as discussed above in process now mode.
User can attach external microphone for recording.
Usage
To use your external microphone connect it to your laptop/PC
Click on Microphone on the main screen of the Hifi Recorder application
Select Microphone from Audio Sources and click on close
To start Live Streaming on YouTube follow the below steps
Steps
Open the recorder dashboard, click on Live Streaming as shown below
Now a popup will come from which you have to select YouTube as shown below
You will be redirected to our streaming dashboard, on which you can setup your studio, edit and get ready to stream
Go to YouTube to select the Go Live option as below
Copy the Stream Key from your channel to paste in our software
Paste the Stream Key in input box of our recorder as shown below
Finally Press Go Live Now to start streaming on YouTube
Share your youtube live stream url as shown
To start Live Streaming on Facebook follow the below steps
Steps
Open the recorder dashboard, click on Live Streaming as shown below
Now a popup will come from which you have to select Facebook as shown below
You will be redirected to our streaming dashboard, on which you can setup your studio, edit and get ready to stream
Go to Facebook to select the Live Video option as below
Press Use Stream Key from your dashboard and copy the Stream Key to paste in our software as shown
Paste the Stream Key in input box of our recorder as shown below
Finally Press Go Live Now to start streaming on Facebook
User can attach external camera for recording.
Usage
To use your external camera connect it to your laptop/PC
Click on Camera on the main screen of the HiFi Recorder application
Select external camera from Camera Sources and click on close
Enables user to change recorder settings.
Recorder Settings
User can change recorder setting by clicking on setting icon
The following window will appear:
Show Template List
In Show Template List section user can set the default background, position of screen and position of camera window which will be applicable to all the videos for processing
To set such settings go to preview in settings
Select a mode
Eg: If Both mode (Camera as well Screen) is selected. Resize the screen and camera window and place it as per users wish
User might add and remove the background as well
After adding background:
Click on save to save the settings
Now user would be able to see the same structure while processing
User can resize the screen and camera window from thumbnail window as well
Same process can be applied to other two modes (Only camera or Only Screen)
One can use all three modes (RECORD CAMERA, RECORD BOTH, RECORD SCREEN) in a single recording.
Usage
Eg. We would first start recording using RECORD BOTH mode, then record using RECORD CAMERA mode and then record using RECORD SCREEN.
Example explanation :
You can select RECORD BOTH mode first
To select another mode (Eg RECORD CAMERA) you need to Pause the recording (i.e Pause RECORD BOTH mode) .Follow Pause recording procedure discussed before.
Click on other mode (Here Eg. RECORD CAMERA) and Start recording
In this way you can switch from one mode to other
User can use these three modes multiple times as per his/her wish.
After you have finished your recording using all modes you can stop recording by pressing Ctrl + 3 or use stop button
User may choose PROCESS NOW or PROCESS LATER mode for processing
If choosed PROCESS NOW the following window will appear:
User can see all the recording options he has chosen for recording on left side of the screen
User can switch from one mode to another to apply background or to make camera window background transparent
One can also see preview of specified mode.
User can apply background, transparency settings separately for each mode
He may also save background details and transparency settings using Save as Defaults and use the same for other modes using Load Defaults
Once clicked on Process now the whole processed video will be created
